Swiss Air Force; crashed and burned out in the mountains above Montana (VS), after colliding with a cable. All four occupants (pilot + 3 soldiers) died in the crash. The fatal cable is registered and marked on the Air Obstacle Map of Switzerland. It is part of a permanent installation for dropping explosive charges on a snow slope for controlled triggering of avalanches. |
