Suomen Punainen Risti

 

 

Alouette II OH-HIS (MSN 1945) was used to transport Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands for their visit of Finland in 1968. The picture was taken at Inari village by pilot Antti PESONEN and let see mechanic Martti KOSKINEN on the right float of the helicopter. They are waiting for their royal passengers prior to fly to Lemmenjoki goldfields.

OH-HIS and her crew have landed on top of Fjell Talkkunapää, which is a mountain close to the border with Soviet Union, where they spotted reindeer herds.

Those three pictures of Alouette II MSN 1945 have been taken by Sippo NEVALAINEN on March 30, 2004, at Kouvola Region Vocational College where it was used as ground instructional aircraft for training of Aircraft Maintenance Technicians.

 

 

 

Alouette II MSN 1945 was later transported to Turku, via Tikkakoski, where the largest Finnish Border Guards' base is located. Veikka MIETINGEN photos.
