Commentaires/Comments (par/by Xavier Capy):

The film and its story are not of the slightest interest: a bland comedy that aims to be funny, as the English film industry produced in quantity in the 1960s, in the tradition of Monty Python. The fashionable psychedelic effects of the time do not help matters. But the film attracted a good number of spectators (and especially female spectators) because of the appearance of Beatles drummer Ringo Starr, who was trying his hand at the cinema like several of his colleagues. The presence of Peter Sellers, who was then enjoying great success in England and internationally, also helped to fill the halls. Remember that in 1969, if the Beatles were already at the end of their short but dazzling career, England was still in full Beatlemania. For us, the main interest is the presence twice of rather long sequences with the Alouette III G-AWXG aboard which the ex-homeless Ringo and his wealthy mentor visit the properties which the Beatle will inherit.
